Love Starts With 'M'

It's no secret that I blog stalk. I check dozens of blogs, weekly, to see what kind of cute things I can copy craft. Today, however, I created something that I thought of all on my own. I love when that happens :)

A friend of mine asked me to make something, with her initial, that she could hang on her front door. So, into the garage I went. My garage is a disaster treasure trove. Especially since we've just moved. Stuff is EVERYWHERE, but I managed to find what I needed.

When my husband asked what I wanted for Mother's Day this year, I told him I wanted a scroll saw. Odd request, perhaps, but it's one of my most favorite treasures.

Enough already. Here's what I made today.

I've been wanting to try my hand at distressing, but I'm too chicken to use a piece of furniture, so I thought I'd try it out on this 'M'. I really like how it turned out. I used foam stamps that I got a few years ago to write the words, and I'm really kind of sad that my last name doesn't start with an 'M'. I lurve it :)
